I'm an early riser, 5:30-6:00 at the latest. On the computer and a cup of coffee and I'm happy before I go to work. I stepped outside just at sunrise on Sunday and walked around the pool and garden and noticed a large spider web stung between two of our palm trees about 8' apart. It made for a beautiful picture but for the life of me I couldn't find what kind of spider it is. Are there any spider experts out there that can identify this creature?

It looks like what we call a banana spider. I can't tell how big it is from your picture, but we get them in the pine woods here and they are huge and menacing looking. I'm told they are harmless, but they don't look it.

I believe thats a tazmanian werewolf spider. A silver bullet should fix your problem.
