We (mainly me) have been hemming and hawing for several years about buying a comletely impractical fun car for us to use during good weather. Every year I find a practical reason to talk myself out of it. This year I talked myself into it before I could talk myself out of it.:D We found this used with under 9000 miles on it. I figure I'll drive it this year and either determine that I was right and can't live without it or I'll realize that we don't use it as much as I thought and we'll sell it. Either way I'll have it out of my system. By the way, my lathe is decidedly unhappy that it has to share both garage space and my free time with another woman.:D:D

Fred ..... you earned it ... you deserve it .... that car has your name all over it (I can tell from the picture). Have a ton of fun with it!

From one impractical car owner ('86 911 Targa) to another impractical car owner!

PS Some day when your wife isn't around, let's see how fast that baby will go. (Mine? 140 and then my "id" took back over)

Snap!! What is that, Fred? Looks like a Men-o-porshe[:D] Cool colour, too
That's what the LOML calls mine. I had to buy her a little Mazda MX5 for her 40th to compensate.

Fred, CONGRATULATIONS!!! An MX5 (Miata) is one of the BEST cars out there (putting aside the practicality issue). Some front sway bars and a few other minor tweaks will go a LONG way toward really improving the car, too. I had a 1991 BRG Limited Edition, and only got rid of it because my wife wouldn't let me drive our (at that time) son-to-be around in it for SEVERAL years, and I was going to be driving him to daycare. Otherwise, we had it for over a year, and I drove it almost everywhere, including in the snow. You'll be amazed at how much stuff you can actually fit in there, especially with the right bags.

I really like the NC body style, too. Great color!

Good for you! Boy I like the color of the car! Wait...Why have you not cut that tree down to make pen blanks?[;)]
