I had a fraternity brother approach me to make him a pen, we talked through options and he really liked the Duraclick EDC. It's dressed with a royal blue kirinite blank that happens to match the fraternity colors of blue & gold.
I'm sure people will say they don't like this set of components because of the extender that is required to be on the back of the refill. My answer to that is "Amen and I don't blame you". It was what he wanted and what we went with.
Either way, I think the kirinite worked well for what we were headed for. I like pearl shimmer in the finished turning. I confess that I do prefer to turn alumilite because I don't like the smell when turning kirinite.
