Well Mac, I guess that I wasn't trying to be nice. We all have teams that we like and dislike and Duke is in my dislike ranks. As far as Carolina goes, as I am not from there I really have no idea what they are saying about Williams. J.J. said it best the other day when he said that with Duke you either loved them or hated them, there was not an in between.

I'm wondering why we have to love them or hate them?? Just a dozen college kids running around chasing a big brown ball and trying to throw it through a hoop. None of those kids ever did anything to me that would justify hating or loving them???

Good point Randy. However, the game is played with ten college kids running around.

Just think, when the REAL DUKE roamed the movie theaters, how many dogs were named after him, I now of at least three. [:D] (there not around either )
 
Geeezzzeeee......you guys should live in NC. Here you are a Duke fan, a Carolina fan or an ABC fan.

An ABC Fan is ===== Anyone But Carolina.

This is serious stuff!
 
For those that didn't get it, I was referring to the Duke basketball team as it wasn't suggested that I love or hate "BOTH" teams. Had I been referring to both teams, I would have said "two dozen players." A BB team consists of more than the 5 players who happen to be competing on the floor at any given time.
 
While I generally am for the underdog, I have a great deal of respect for Duke's program. Not many teams hold their players to high academic standards (or even care if the kids take legitimate courses) and are able to be competitive on a national level. For that, Duke and Coach K are to be commended.
 
mac grew up in greensboro off of wendover ...one thing about duke you can say that others cant...at least they are competitive almost every year where others are not...in our family its ...GO DUKE...and the panthers....these fla folks dont like it though...

I've been thinking about this all day and I feel compelled to let you know how sorry I am that you lost your dog. As shown in my earlier post I understand that this has nothing to do with your dog but I need to bring closer to this for myself.
So please go to the closest animal shelter and purchase another one![:D]
