I found a new toy called the Wubba. (not the Kong wubba) And if your dog like fetch and retrieve this is great!

2 balls make the body, a top one for weight and a second one for the squeaker. Magic cannot get enough time with it! I would highly recommend it to anyone. This one is the "Night Wubba" in hunters orange and reflective strips.

BTW, I do not work for the company, just like a toy that lasts more than 5 min in her chompers!

I may look into one of these if it's tougher than tennis balls. Our lab loves to swim after tennis balls in our pool or the bay behind our house. Problem is that she bites down so hard while swimming it pops them. Each ball gets tossed once it seems, the next time it just sinks. I have resorted lately to toss pieces of 2x4 for her to retrieve! [:0]
 
They have a Water Wubba with a neoprene cover instead of the nylon. I can tell you from experiance diving, neoprene floats! I have an extra weight just to cover the flotation.

I called them and it was here in a week. If you go to flickr and type in wubba, there is a group of people who's dogs love them.
