Dog For Sale
  • Free to good home.
  • Excellent guard dog.
  • Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore,
as there are no more thieves, murderers, or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat.

  • Most of them knew him as 'Holy ****.'

friends of ours had a pair of them...Hansel and Gretel... 210 and 185 lbs...she had a litter of 6 pups that weighed about 6 pounds apiece! Gorgeous dogs, and fantastic with their families.

Had one a few years ago Called "Yentel", named her after we saw the picture "Fiddler on the roof". Was the most gentel dog you could want we nicknamed her "Gentel Yentel", but she could really hurt you if she stepped on you.

Someone, somewhere has been playing with photoshop! Look at the right side of the "dog" and notice it is a shadow and does not match the remainder of the photo.

To the right of the dog is the retaining wall in shadow topped by bricks. It matches.

Here's a few more examples of how big those Mastiffs get:

Mastiffs are such cool canines, one of the other teachers son just bought a pup, it's about 16 weeks old now and nearly the size of my smallest Shepherd bitch. he brought it in when it was 6 weeks old and I saw it again last Friday, man do they grow fast[:p][:p][:p]

My wife has correcred me as our Yental was a Bull Mastif not a Mastif, she was about 150 lbs. only because she was "FAT".

15 years ago, I had an English Mastiff, named "Barkley", that weighed in at 225 lbs. Standing on his back legs, with his front legs on the upper portion of the 6' fence, he could look over the top. I came home from work one day to find out he'd learned how to open the door to the shop I had at that time (Atrium doors with the lever handles), had managed to drag a six pack of beer out by the pool, and was happily biting through the cans and lapping up the beer. Very gentle giant..... I miss him.

Johnnie,

I can't possible ignore the PM. That was great of you to offer!! Thanks for being a caring, loving person!
Now, go blow up some pressure pots! :D

Mastiffs can be huge. A Neopolitan mastiff named Hercules was the heaviest dog on record. There is a great site "Gentle Giants" a rescue that specializes in large breeds. Awesome pictures on there. A friend of mine has a Neo that went 260 and a Cane Corso that topped 220.
LOML used to show Great Pyrenes and was very active in show dogs. Someday I hope to kennel some mastiff breeds.... how many pens would it take to swap out for a mastiff puppy???
LOL Love the beer story Did he always get his favorite brand or did he have to share yours??
