I had to drive out to a job today.. It was 14 miles on a dirt road behind a locked gate. On the way out there there was a few fallen oak trees. On the way back I stopped at a couple of them and picked up a few smaller branches.. Threw them in the truck.. I had been out to that house probably 20 times in the last two years. Never even noticed the trees. Got home tonight and made two nice pens.. It just got me thinking about all the places I go and all the different things I can use to turn. :D

It used to only take me a few minutes to start a fire in our vacation cabin. Takes twice as long now, I'm inspecting every piece of wood before it goes in the fire place. Sometimes when we're driving down the road LOML will yell out "BURL"[:0] Always looking, always searching............

of course not......nobody in ther right mind would go around and pick up junk furniture on garbage day or pick up littles pieces of tree.!!

I have a "friend of mine" that carries a saw in the trunk just in case.[:D][:D]

Thanks for the idea Pete-gotta go load my chain saw in the trunk there are a bunch of trees coming down at our elementary school that they are remodeling. I hope that Bill J. does not see this and beat me to it.[:D][}:)][:D]

Who me?? Nawh, I have never been known to load a couple of 335lb "logs" into the back of a CJ-7... Never! Even if these oak logs were 96 years old, nope... I would never do that! [:D]

I know this guy who loads his Camry (sedan) about 800 pounds of wood that he cuts and hauls about 240 miles to get home. [:0]

That crazy guy will remain nameless. Oh yeah...he ocassionally travels with his chainsaw too. [}:)]
