Here's the ever versatile Diamond Knurl rollerball pen dressed up in a beanstalk. I mean, Sonoran Desert iron wood is in the legume family, though calling it such is sort of an insult to it's beauty. The chatoyance is amazing, but those that have worked with DIW know this. I did the custom finial, but decided to stick with the standard knurled band. The finish is 2 layers of Gluboost fill and finish, then 3 layers of thin... then a couple more of each when I sanded through, so... yeah, I have no idea, but it was sanded/buffed through the various grits of Zona paper and then Maguires plastic polish.

I have been making stuff, just haven't been on the forum as much lately. Life is, um... distracting. Then again, so is my workshop.

Excellent pen. My complements on the background for the photo.
Thanks. I settled on that fabric after a bit of experimenting and I always keep a couple pieces of driftwood near the photo booth. Usually I use a little chunk of mopani that broke off a larger piece from my fishkeeping days. I'm still looking for the perfect backdrop to make the grain patterns pop in the darker woods, though.
