This post was carried to casual convo since I feel it had no place nor bearing on the penturning forum

Please do not refer to my sale of kits to IAP members as a group buy. Trust me - those kits were bought and resold by me. I offered a lower price to IAP members who agreed to pay in advance, but they are buying from me -- not my supplier. If they have any problems with the kits they will deal with me to get them resolved. There are strict requirements for group buys, some of which I do not adhere to because of the bookkeeping requirements.
Smitty, I really don't wish to discuss semantics with you, if you read my post carefully it said "Sort of a group buy" I didn't state that it was a group buy was done on, and I'm glad to see you reduced the font size in your signature, and not sending customers to eBay any longer thanks, that shows some class.

Words have meaning.

Unfortunately, in the American language the same word can have multiple meanings. This causes some difficulties on the forum, when "Quality" is presented in the context of "quality control" vs the context of normal usage.

I can also understand and agree with Smitty's concern about the term "group buy", since the IAP has a severly restrictive definition of that term and Smitty is attempting NOT to mislead or deceive those who buy from him. He IS making a minimal profit. He is also providing a price that the "average member" here would be hard-pressed to get from Rizheng. So, I admire his honesty in being clear on the "group buy" differentiation.
