Difference b/w two Freud dado blades?

Not used so much for pens, but I am shopping for a dado. I'm pretty sold on the Freud for budget and value reasons. I went to Woodcraft and saw the SD208 for $95 which is polished metal, and at Home Depot there is a DD208 which is red (with black chippers) for $99. They appear to be basically the same thing, except for the color. I can't find any info on the DD208, which makes me believe it's the 'old model'. My question is are they the same thing or is the SD208 (the newer one) better?

I cant help you on which one is better if it is at all but i can vouch for their performance I use one. Welcome back I havent seen you on line for a while.

If you can't find any specs on it, it's very possibly one of those things that are exclusive to Home Depot - in this case, one difference is obvious - it has the perma-shield coating on it (red)...

You can Google "Freud D208".

The first letter represents the finish. "D208" is the item number for Dado Set 8".

When in doubt, pick the phone and call Freud. They are some of the most knowledgable and freindly customer service staff I have ever encountered.
