When my Diet started there where several things that I needed to change.

After the second year I really needed to work even harder
I am on my third year now----that bowl ain't much bigger than a coffee cup
Most commonly called---get that spoon out of your mouth

Glenn for me it was more a matter of living----or----not.
Kinda takes over for will power.
trust me-----I really miss Biscuts & Gravy-----it's been three years since I have eaten Bacon.
I am still working on cutting back on eggs:)

Gary,
When I first found out I had diabetes, thats what they told me. Change your diet, change the quantity of what you eat. Changing my mindset was the first thing. The smaller plate/bowl was a good beginning. I can't say that I have stuck to the routine 100%, but it does work. I like bacon and the biscuits and gravy too....

I was shocked to see what 4oz of meat looks like---you better have a small plate or you won't find it. Some of the tricks where easy-----Brown Mustard instead of yellow.
I have reach the point where I hate---really HATE---Extra lean--low sodium Turkey breast----I think sawdust taste better.
