Designer Twist - Indonesian Rosewood and Bloodwood (really nice piece of Bloodwood)
Still sanding to 600 then Yorkshire grit, the sealer, then Pens Plus. Guess at this point I can try CA, Maybe soon!

Very Nice - Great Finish with Pens Plus! I rarely get this much shine. Amazing chatoyancy in that bloodwood one! - I really like these kits too, I especially like the Premium Designer because it uses a Parker style refill, but sadly it is only available in Gold and not in any of the other finishes. These are also my most favorite kits for making extra long desktop pens and to modify into a "no centerband" style.

Well, might as well throw a Padauk out there. Made a Purple Heart but it cracked pushing twist mechanism in so far.
My question, I have a 3 piece bushing set which I do not like, do they make a 4 piece?.

May I ask why? What is it about the 3 piece bushing set that you don't like?

I use a turn between centers mandrel system and the middle bushing is so long I have maybe 1/8" left for blank. I can use them with a "normal" mandrel but don't like the knurl end. I thought about just throwing bushing between centers but figured it would wear out right away.

Ahhhh I understand now. I have the same TBC mandrel system, but I usually only use it for finishing and stuff with custom bushings I make from HDPE.

The option that I was thinking of for those long, dual center bushings, would be to use two sets in order to make one. It would involve using a dremel cutoff wheel or angle grinder to sacrifice one side of each center bushing and then cleaning it up with a sander to give you individual, separate, shorter, center bushings. Of course you would also wind up with an extra set of end bushings that you wouldn't necessarily need.

Another option would be to pick up a set of Euro/Designer TBC bushings from someone like TBC Bushings.com, and use a 60-degree live center and a 60-degree dead/drive center. But they are a little on the pricey side.
