Well I haven't been selling pens for very long. Just kinda word of mouth and so on. I went to a Derby Party today. (In case you don't know It's the Kentucky Derby, and a lot of people here have party's that have bookies). I ended up taking a few pens with me just in case. So after a 6 hour party I ended up selling 10 Pens. Slims and Sierra's for a grand total od $320.00. This is the first real sale I've had. Everybody loved the pens and wanted to buy more I just didn't have anymore with me. But gave em my number and hopefully will make a few more sales from it. Sorry for the gloat, just feels pretty damn good to finally sell more than 1 pen at a time.

Goodness! That's better than setting up, sitting all day and hoping for people to be more than a browser. Congrats!

Congrats, that is almost as good as betting $50 on #4 would have been today.

It feels great to have someone buy a pen doesn't it? Compliments on pens are nice, but cash is sincere.

I would like to have seen the Derby, it's the first one I've missed on TV since I was a young buck, BUT we had some severe weather and of course Satellite TV is worthless in a storm that's dropping a inch to an inch and a half of rain an hour. Congratulations on the great sales Ernie, I believe you deserve a good break.

Damn I spend thousands doing shows and now find out all I have to do is attend parties, great score Ernie:biggrin:.

Roy, it helped that they were winning money on the races. What I did is put my pens on the table where the bookie was. And when they collected their winnings they would buy a pen. Pretty crazy since I had no plans on taking more than 1 pen in the first place.

Chuck, since you're offering those nice cigar pens you make for free!!! I think I can manage to make the drive and pick them up!!!

I hit a $5 exacta in race 9 the 9,7 that paid me a nice $380 but missed everything on the actual Derby.I had the 4 and the 10 but no no.2 in my formulas.I love the ponies I make it to the local track for the three majors and once or twice a year for a little simulcasting.Good news on the sales.Victor

Any time you make it to Louisville, let me know. My treat at the track. My best friend is V.P. of Churchill Downs. I make the spring meet quite often, as I love the horses. But I rarely make a bet. I usually go on the backside and talk to a few trainers about their horses and people watch. There's quite a few unique sites out there. My favorite place is the paddock about 20 minutes before post.

I actually only hit one race. That was the 10th. I had 50 to win on General's Quarter's. Unbelievably he went off at 9-1 and paid 20.80 to win. Not a bad day all in all.

That is a great gloat it feels good to sell a large order after a dry streak. I did one similar to yours a while back. By the way getting to know rich influential people is always a plus.
