Awhile back I bought a couple things from a guy. Finally had a chance to pick it up today. I paid $500 for everything. I'll let you all tell me if I did good or not. Thanks Gary, for the info on the lathe you provided to me.

The chuck is a vicmarc 4 jaw, with 2 sets of jaws, the wooden things I assume are some jig made for turning bowls or something. He did not say, I did not ask.

You got a bargain, a real bargain. The Reeves drive can be noisy, keep it clean and you will be in good shape. If the belt ever breaks, it uses one off the shelf at NAPA, I believe a 28"x1/2. 4 screws in the hand wheel and 4 screws on the safety cover is all you have to remove to change the belt. Lining up the drive and the tailstock is a piece of cake if you have two 2MT dead centers. I turn bowls using the headstock at an angle, no leaning over the bed. The headstock swivels to me, not me to it.

That is just the lathe, the dust collector and the chucks etc. are making it all too cheap. Yep, a real bargain!

your wooden disks are a homade "doughnut" chuck. it is used to finish the bottom of a bowl.

I'll second the you suck part...lol Seriously looks as if you got a great deal! I've got basically the same Delta DC and while I don't use it as a "whole shop" DC I do have it hooked up as a dedicated collector for my lathe and it does a great job. It is noisy and I've got mine outside my shop and just ran the duct through the wall.

The DC may not be the best but I hope it will help direct fumes from ca away from me, that is mainly why I wanted it. Eventually I will set up a better system, as soon as I can afford it.
