So we have needed a storage shed for quite some time. I bit the bullet and bought a dyi kit for a 10x8 wooden shed. So I first had to make a nice level and square foundation on some very uneven ground. Lol 4x4', concrete blocks, pea gravel, and a day and a half later, foundation done. Got the kit in monday, floor was suppose to be included, but found out just the frame. Off to home depot for all supplies, including roofing materials. So I put together floor frame, nailed into 4x4's and put hurricane ties from floor studs to 4x4's. Should be secure. Put 3/4" plywood on floor and then started on walls yesterday and got 3 of them done. Luckily the wife is off for the next 3 days and no rain predicted. They say it's a one day job, heck I'm just hoping to finish it in the next 3 days. Lol Has anyone built one of these before? The pic before is my accomplishment since monday. The pic makes it look warped, but believe me, it's flat and square. Lol

I've built several sheds and outbuildings from scratch; never used a kit.
Some went quickly. One shed took me months to complete as I was still working full time.

It's not. The base is four 4x4's sitting on concrete blocks. Just the floor is attached to those. I guess if I needed to, I could put some eye screws in the corners and put some anchors in.

Here in Florida, permanent structures have to be anchored. My 16' X 8' shed has cinder blocks in the ground and above with rebar going down 2'.
Then, the 4"X4"s are J-Bolted into the blocks with cement in the spaces.
We have to get a permit too.
I would expect y'all would have similar requirements but maybe not.

We live in the County here in Texas. There are no rules or permits for anything in the county. I still think I may add some anchors on the corners. We have a 20x24 carport that I put anchors on the corners just in case of bad winds besides the rebar they hammered in.
