While I will say that I loved the photos and the variety of ideas people came up with when there were no restrictions, I was incredibly disappointed by one aspect of this contest.

While it was very clearly allowed in the rules. I did not receive even a single offer of a bribe!!!:biggrin:

I expect you all to try harder next year on this point!!!

I have it on good authority that the little dudes that invade my shop are going to be mighty busy stacking Australian pen blanks.

I relived a lot of memories building that Erector set crane. It's a lot more difficult with adult-sized fingers, though.

Brian, I loved your entry, it showed a lot of thought, and it was a great concept!!! I'm betting most of the users in our "No Photos, Didn't Happen" style community took the time to read it, which was a loss on their part!!!

There was some controversy with the 2 photos! :redface: Well when i entered the Competition i thought the 2 photos i submitted where going to be next to each other, i showed a distance shot and a close up, I most likely didn't read the no stinking rules properly:befuddled:,anyway don't matter now, i will know better next year.:biggrin:

It wasn't you John. I inherited the photo contests with them allowing 2 photo entries, and I never asked what the reasoning behind it was. My assumption was that you could enter 2 different photos and have them judged independently. The idea of submitting 2 different photos to be considered together, or 2 very similar photos to be considered together, just did not occur to me at the time. The previous judging system did not pose a problem with this, and I did not forsee the issue being affected by the poll voting change this year. It has not been discussed for a definitive change next year, but I can 99.5% guarantee that next year it will be limited to a single photo per person.
