I have the kit not bad the box is only 8"x8" or so with 2 lights. I get good pictures but working on better had it aboput a month now. Don't plan on taking pictures of large items though, pens stoppers etc are fine

Just an FWI, several of us ordered several weeks back. Took a long time to come in. I would rate the studio a "C" as is. You can upgrade the lighting by replacing the bulbs. The ones that come with it are pretty weak. But for $10 bucks what do you expect.

It's back

I was waiting for this deal to make it back to the website. I'm glad it showed up again. I bought it. Looking forward to using it.

I paid 50 (if I remember right) for the 16" x 16". I like it but the lights really are under powered. Get better bulbs, more lights or wait for a nice sunny day.

Definitely replace the lights. "High Powered 20 watt" ???

20 watt bulbs are not 'high power' .. but before you replace the lamps, check
the lamp sockets to see if there is a maximum rating to them. Makes no sense
to buy new lamps if the lamp socket aren't rated for them..

Charlie, I put 35 watt in mine and seem to work fine. Word of caution....leave the lens cap off if you increase the wattage. DAMHIKT!!

Ya gotta remember that scientists for years worked on creating a film developer that would fix the lens cap problem. Leaving it on really, really makes for mighty 'thin' negatives and even thinner images on paper.

They DID fix the lens cap problem. You just have to view the pictures through
the lens... with the lens cap on.
