I take the finish back off and try drying it out. DNA, acetone,
toaster oven .. depends on what I did for a finish.
I haven't tried the DIW yet. I've got a blank I'm waiting to try..
 
Secong that....did you wipe with acetone before finishing? Any of the really oily woods like that seriously require an acetone wipe....BOW, DIW, AB, Amb., so on.
 
Yeah acetone was applied prior to finishing.

I figured it out. As many of you guys often say. SSSSLLLOOOWWW DDDOOWWWNNN


My theory is

I was generating too much heat after my finish was applied and it was causing resin to create small pockets between the blank and the finish. The blank was often too hot to touch.

Once I turned my speed down it completely went away.
