My wife and I were very happy to welcome our daughter to the world last night, December 18 at 7:54 PM. :) Her name is Kaelyn Marie Gibbons. She is our second, and last child. She weighed 5 lbs., 4 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. She's about three weeks early, which considering where we were a month ago, is pretty good. Some of you may remember my previous post about possibly having her prematurely, a week before Thanksgiving. Thankfully, the doctors and nurses were able to stabilize my wife and sent us home the day before Thanksgiving. On Monday, Dec. 7, we went back to the hospital, with her having pain and they sent us home that Friday. Yesterday we went back for the final time. We're glad this is over with and very excited to finally meet her!

The first pic is of my wife and Kaelyn a few minutes after her birth. The second pic is me introducing our 2 year old son to his new baby sister. The third pic is Kaelyn wearing a very stylish baby beanie, if I do say so myself.

Thanks for looking!!

Many congratulations to you and especially to mum:biggrin:
Your little lad doesn't look too impressed though, you can almost read what's going on in his mind:biggrin:

Congrats, I am glad that it they are both doing well. I was born 4 days after Christmas and was told throughout my childhood that my Christmas presents were for both Christmas and my birthday, I can tell you from personal experience that was never fun so be sure to buy her gifts separately please...lol
Just think in 15 yrs she will bring some kid home and say " This is my boyfriend Snake."

I am already familiar with this problem...my wife's birthday is 3 days after Christmas. She made it clear when we were dating that she HATES that her birthday is often forgotten in the holiday mix...so I make double dang sure that I don't.

Congratulations to you all...!

I'm simply moved by seen such a post in a forum like this, if anyone ever had any doubt when some of us feel a friendly forum is like your extended family, and for so many, the only family so, thank you bgibb42, for thinking of us as such, in this time of excitement and hope, this is indeed as personal as ever can be...! Thank you.

Cheers
George

Mr Ligget, you are a cruel cruel man!!!!!

15 years ago my quack just used a hammer and chisel:eek::doctor:

Congratulations Brian... beautiful little girl... and that is a very stylish beanie.:)

You son looks like the little boy in a cheerios commercial... he's asking "How long is she going to live here?"

My son was our second child... the wife already had a daughter from her first marriage... she had trouble carrying too, so I visited the doctor soon after he was born...
all was well until he sprayed that cold:eek: cold:eek: cold:eek: antiseptic just before he started the procedure... he had to wait for things to come out of hiding again..:biggrin::biggrin:

Congratulations. Just with until she is about 2 years old. She'll make you want at least one more. When my daughter was two a fiend of her's ask her something and after answering her friend ask her how she knew that. She said her daddy told her and her friend said, well how does he know? To which my daughter said, "My daddy knows everything." She's older and wiser now but for some reason I don't see her any different.
