Custom Casting?

Is there anyone out there that will do some custom casting? I haven't started casting yet and I'm looking to get some blue and gold (WVU) colors done up for my daughter whose in her first year there. I'd need about a dozen to start.

I too am in need of some custom casting.

I was asked to donate a couple of pens for a benefit auction for a group in Maine called Jenny Ru's Ray of Light Foundation. So I was thinking of doing a couple of pens in the color of their logo. Problem is that I cannot seem to find the purple that is in their logo...so this is where you could possibly help me. Attached is the link to their website. I would like to find a blank where the purple is in the middle and the ends is the metallic grey color.

Something I have done that worked out pretty well was go to my local hardware/paint store and have a sample jar of paint mixed to a custom color. Go find a sample paint card that matches the purple you are looking for or just print out the logo and take it to them and have a small batch made up. I paid about $3 for the sample jar and judging from the size, I'd say it's more than 1/2 a quart. More than you'll need, but a quick way to get a custom color matched. Then just mix the paint in with your PR and go from there...

I too can do custom casts - in PR or alumilite. In fact I'm getting ready to do some in LSU colors.

I've done a number of blue and gold pen blanks - mostly did Navy blue w/ Gold ribbons in them. So there are a lot of Blues and Golds/Yellows in the library.

For that burgandy/rose/purple color, I'm thinking start w/ recipe #86 and add pearl white.

I don't get offended if you have someone else cast you a blank using data from the library. That's one of the reasons it exists- so you can say "I want *that* color.".
