Take a class on bowl turning. You will be upset you have not done it sooner!Wow - gorgeous. Seeing your bowls is making me more and more want to give turning one a try. - Dave
Bottom thickness.Lovely piece of maple . Running out of room in terms of bottom thickness , or of room to store your finished pieces ?
You should! It is not as hard as people may think.Wow - gorgeous. Seeing your bowls is making me more and more want to give turning one a try. - Dave
I don't think it is really that difficult. Sanding can be the pain. I go up to 1200 grit. But once you get past 220... it goes pretty quick. This its just a matter of wiping on and heating it up.Gorgeous wood blanks you have. I wish I could get the results you do with your polish.
Very nice piece of art.
I'm a bit jealous as what i mostly have is Elm, Ash and Hickory. Very little figure in those species.
#1 rule of turning bowls - Don't make the inside bigger than the outside.Wow - gorgeous. Seeing your bowls is making me more and more want to give turning one a try. - Dave
