Hi,

Been experimenting since the casting contest with PVC pipe casting, on tube casting in a resin-saver and just straight block casting.

Just wondering what you guys do for curing process for your blocks and resin-savers?
For the PVC I heat the resin then pour, leave overnight. Then in the morning give the 30mins in the toaster at 70c. Leave to cool and knock out!

Not sure where to go with the Resin-Saver. Leave overnight, or go straight in the toaster? Then same with the block casting aswell?

Any ideas or suggestion eagerly accepted!!

Phil

I leave the resinsaver molds overnight and if still a bit tacky do the toaster oven thing.

I tend to use about 50% more catalyst for the resinsavers as there is less bulk resin to generate heat during the curing process.

Likewise I reduce catalyst for a bigger block cast as there is more heat generated.
