Ron, you might want to wait until someone has a Group buy, usually happens sometime fast after the holidays as people will want to use thire gift certs. also some need to get ready for the spring shows. I just was in a small G/P to fill in after I had placed my spring order or I would just add yours to my order.

I hope it happens soon. I need a Jr. Gent Kit to finish my trade pen. I am gonna order about $150 worth of stuff alltogether, but i need that one kit asap. I hate to pay shipping for just one kit. I might just have to order and try to be ready next time... Thanks for the heads up Roy!

Yup, Ed PM'd me with a heads up. I didn't even know they sold kits! I think i have it covered though!

I received a $25 off email special if I purchased $150. The way it was worded was wonky. It said it expired on November 28, but then it said it had to be redeemed by Jan 1. I put in my order, but didn't get the discount, so I called and was told I had to buy $150 to get the $25 off my next order and that it had expired and there was nothing they could do.

If you're gonna give a discount, give a discount. Don't make me jump through hoops for a fricking meager discount. I really am pissed about it, but I wasn't going to post about it until I saw this post. I will still buy certain kits from them that no one else has, but I won't spend a dime with them that I don't have to.

I just bought from CSUSA and find there shipping is outrageous.
So after I spend 480.00 they send a 15% off code good for 24 hrs???
I just went to order 15 retro`s and the shipping FEDEX is 13.00??? and 9.00 USPS for 15 kits maybe 1.5 LBS
I think I will stick with PSI. I personally think they have nicer kits anyhoo.

For future reference - free shipping on >$500 purchases... looks like you just missed it on your first order.

Wow, they actually had USPS cheaper? Last two times I've ordered USPS was more than FedX and I know that's B.S. The only thing I really liked about CSUSA was when I ordered I knew it was shipping that same day. Unlike PSI that takes their sweet ol' time. I also liked their wood supply as but next time I need to buy stock I'm going to be looking for a new supplier.

If that is the case on the $500 order I would call them and talk to someone with authority. Otherwise bad job on their part for sales.

Shipping

Folks....get into the real world of shipping.

Some vendors consider shipping a "profit center". In my first internet business (not my current business) I did so myself. They consider it a service and an investment of their time and money and they want to make a profit on it. For many, more work goes into shipping than any other aspect of their business.

Others don't necessarily want to make a profit on shipping but do want to cover all of their total shipping and handling costs. So they set a fixed price for shipping that applies on a per order basis. It is usually set against some baseline like the total number of orders processed divided into the total dollars spent on shipping.

Shipping is the most difficult part of my business. Trying to hit on prices that are fair to the buyer but still cover my costs. In my store, I offer some items in a number of different quantities -- well if it weren't for shipping I would need only one listing.
