Has anyone done this and why is it taking so long to solidify? I cast this yesterday and it still has not set up. Is it the oils from the crushed pepper that is effecting it or did I mix the PR wrong. I mixed 5 drops of catalyst to 1oz. of PR. Thanks for any help.

5 dps/oz may not be enough if the density of the peppers is high. Resin with imbedded objects usually takes an extra amount of resin since the reaction doesn't have the chain reaction affect due to being dispersed.

Worth a shot to use more MEKP.

I made some up last night. I used 7 drops per ounce. I also put it in the toaster afterwards for an hour at 120 degrees.

Give it some heat. I've used halogen lamps above my PR to "kick-start" the reaction, but some will say that's dangerous because of flammable fumes, but it's no different than sticking the PR in a toaster oven with an open heating element and alot of people do that also...
