Cross inserts with brass tubes

Looking for info on filling a brass(?) tube with all sorts of stuff/colors and inserting it in crosswise hole in a blank.

I think you are after mosaic pins. You find them used often in knife making. You can make your own, lots of youtube videos to pick from, or buy them ready made from knife making suppliers.

To add to what Curly said, I have seen a few of those at my local woodcraft. Worth a check if you're near one.

I have a few custom knives made by a knife makers guild member back in the 90s. Some of them have a small silver tube filled with brass rod. A nice touch. He made his own. Didn't know that was what they were called.....
