Hi All,

Decided that it was a good time (being near christmas) to try a direct sales approach, so went to the local craft fair.

It was a great success, and earned a few pennies to spend on some new toys before christmas. (New pillar Drill, and a supernova chuck being top of the list)

It was nice to receive genuine interest in the products, and also get valuable feedback regarding the products I make, and the shapes, kits, woods that I have on offer.

After today I am certainly in a better position to supply pens than I was previously! I now have a better understanding of what people want and like. All because I had a chance to speak with them directly!!!!! (There is no substitute for direct contact!)

This was my first such show, but certainly wont be the last.

Nice start Kenny,

My personal observations:

Your risers are a GREAT idea. The elevations seem about right. I would change the color to a dark (my preference is black) so it absorbs, rather than reflecting the light. That will eliminate your "hot spots" and focus attention on the products.

The Pretty girl is a really reliable tactic - be careful to make sure she doesn't distract from your products with "unrelated conversation".

Run your table cover all the way to the floor on the customer side. Hides your "stuff" from view, again making the exhibited product the focus for potential customers.

Again, excellent start. These points will get you even closer to your selling goals (I hope!!)[:p][:p][:p]
