Hello everyone,

The making of this pen was extremely laborious and painstaking. Each and every strip of pearl is cut, applied on the pen and polished by hand. The mother of pearl pieces are cracked around the pen, glued, cured, covered with Urushi and polished...
I started to work on summer, only a practice pen, just to understand the process.

Next one to be finished in summer 🙂🙂
Nice day all,
Teo

"extremely laborious and painstaking" . . . .

Really ? ? . . . . I believe . . . . yeah, really ! ! !

But the overall impression is indescribably amazing ! !

Can't wait to see the next one ! ! !

Your patience and dedication to such excellence is both admirable and exceptional! THANK YOU for posting that!

I watched a few men in Japan over the years with such patience, and was in awe and yet completely jealous of them! Well done!

I think you will find the second one to be somewhat less pressure, and more pleasure to complete. That is what I was told by a master craftsman / artist on a great work. (At least that is what I thought he said.) 🙂
