I made a sheet metal form for a casting. Bent it into a "U" shape and placed a wood plug on each end. Last night I poured two cast with feathers. One is some Blue Jay feathers a friend ask me to make. This morning everything looks great but I put to much force on the form when breaking off the wood plug from each end. I now have a crack on the bottom of the cast the length of it.
Should I re-pour the cast with PR and let it fill in the small crack or should I use CA glue? I do have the super thin CA glue which would fill in the crack.

Thanks for your advice.

I am no expert in this area, but have repaired plenty in my day lol, I would suggest thin CA to repair as it will penetrate very well and be invisable when turned and polished as normal, just don't use fixer to try and speed up the process as that can cause whiteness in the CA , Recommended to leave till next day before working it to allow full setting and gassification of the CA to complete , Should be fine for you , cheers ~ John
