Had a Crab Apple tree that I cut last year and was wanting to see what the grain looked like...Seems to someone orange yellow in color and pretty tight grains.
Has anyone used this? I'm sure theres another name but thats what my grandfather always called it.

Apples can produce some very nice wood -- but it tends to check in drying. Turns sweet and finishes nicely.

I have some crab apple, lots of worm holes. I turn it and fill them with CA.They look cool and sell pretty well.
