Couple of Barons simple segmented

Some simple segmenting on a couple of Baron fountains that turned out really well. Same woods for both pens, desert ironwood and oak burl.

I second Dave's motion. I have been cleaning up, sorting and rearranging things in the shop. I found a stash of plastic that I intended to keep for segmenting like you show. Thanks for the photos!

This is one of my favorite designs for segmenting - clean lines, easy learning curve, and very attractive. I like that you put the effort/foresight to make the endcaps the same dimension, and the finial is a great element. Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

You can use old gift cards - almost any thin plastic card or sheet will work

It's a white polystyrene sheet I get from hobby lobby. But you can use knife scale spacers as well.
