Between helping provide daycare for 10 month old twin grand babies (earning baby hugs not money) and a major side project I have not been doing much turning lately. The major project is building out a 2021 Promaster 2500 van
for travel. I recently built some countertops out of plywood and pine lumber. The countertops were a key step in making the van fully functional. With the countertops made I was able to install my sink and stove top and make my final water and propane tie ins. The van is far from complete but we can now take trips in it. I am Traveling to Northern Virginia next week to do a demo on turning teapots and plan on staying in the van.
The van has:
400 watts of solar
an ASTM propane tank
swivel seats
two new windows
a powered roof vent/fan
28 gallon freshwater tank
a shower
and a grey water tank
I made the countertops by laminating the plywood and lumber together, staining, gluing on reproductions of vintage National parks posters and finishing with table top epoxy.
