Has anyone calculated their costs for stabilizing? specifically with regard to electric. I'm not sure what a vactakes, but it sure seems like a little inefficient toaster running for two hours would not be cheap.

Well, you do cannot typically get more than 1800 watts out of a 120 volt 15 amp circuit. For 2 hours that would be 3.6 kWh. At around 10 cents per kWh (varies) your cost would be 36 cents.

Since the toaster is holding at 200f its not too bad. The small vacuum pumps are probably a bit worse. I think theres a few folks here who could tell us how to figure the usage from the motor rating plate.
