My mentor about a year ago, had given me a few corn cobs and said " This will test your patience and your skills". Well I've made 3 now and have throughly enjoyed making them.
This was the last of my cobs.
This was the last of my cobs.
I used wood hardner for about 3 months, it's finished with thin CA and then Med CA. You can't feel the holes, the holes make it deceiving as if you can pick at them.Nice work. Was the blank stabilized? It looks like there's a lot of holes so there would be lots of room for chipping. I'm not a fan of the copper platings but it really goes well with the corn cob.
