Cork Bud Holder

Got this cork bud from my daughter. Was designed to sit on top of a pencil but I thought this olivewood would make a better display.

I guess the use of the cork "popped" into your head!
It is a great idea. Would be good for table decorations.

This one came drilled, but I suspect it wouldn't be too hard with pen jaws on a lathe. Sharp bit and slow speed should work.

That is how I make cork pens for Cigar kits. Put the cork in a dedicated jaw and then us 3/8 bitt. Can drill at any speed but proceeds slowly.
