Seems like there has been a bunch of people here complaining of computers crashing! I guess it's my turn. After installing a Windows update (which to be honest was an optional update) My computer won't boot (BSOD).
Video drivers I suspect but so far I have tried rolling them back, updating, repairing, using windows restore... manually copying the new drivers to the system directory ... all to no avail.
Looks like a new hard drive and a reloading of Vista is how I'll spend my afternoon.
Here's hoping it's not HARDWARE related!
What I really want to be doing is trying out my new Woodchuck Pen Pro :)

Wife says if you downloaded Service Pac 3 there are files that need to be deleted before you download, but they don't tell you which ones. YOu need to go to Windows Update and it tells you what to do. Of course this is a "maybe".

Sounds Like XP maybe ? I have Vista ... and I think a bad video card

Did fresh install on a new drive ... Windows Update downloads new drivers and then asks for a restart .... BSOD (blue screen of death)

Computers ...arrggh.... makes it very hard to know when to fix or when to cut your losses ... new graphics card and probably a new power supply as most of the video cards I've looked at require a min. 400w ps and mine is 350.:frown:

Update: A new video card solved my problem, guess I'm stuck with this ol' puter for awhile longer! =0)
