I just got a new laptop. It has Vista Home Premiun. Like it so far. This is the question. On my old computer it would save things that I would type into boxes. So when I would got to enter it the next time i would get a little dropdown box and i could choose from there. Instead of typing the whole thing out. Like email addresses and street address and such. Is there a setting to get this to do this on this new computer. And like on ebay it would save all the searches that I would do. Thanks

HI;
I believe it is under Tools, Internet Options, Contents, then click the settings in the Auto Complete Section.
I'm not a big fan of Vista and my home machine is on XP. My part time job uses Vista.

If you're using IE then select Tools/Internet Options and then select the Content tab. Two thirds down you'll see an auto complete section. Click the Settings button to modify you're settings.

If you're using Firefox, select Tools/Options and then the Advanced and General tabs. Under Accessibility select the check box for "Search for text when I start typing". Also under Tools/Options is the Privacy tab where you can select "Remember History" and also towards the bottom under Location Bar select History and Bookmarks.

Hope this helps what you're after.

I'm waiting for Windows 7. I own a couple copies of Vista and they were yanked after a couple weeks and replaced with XP.
