I am finding that the screen on my laptop is to small for my eyes. I have a 23" Sony LCD HD TV set that is not being used and am wondering how it would work as a monitor. It has a computer input connection and Mac makes an adapter cable. I am looking for input from anyone who has used a TV for this before I spend $30.00 for the cable.

It depends on the LCD TV, but if it has a 15 VGA connector it should work fine, 23" isn't too big for a monitor. If you have a Mac laptop, it should have come with the adaptor and you would just need a VGA extension cable. I have a ton of those if you want one, we just need to verify it's correct on the Mac side.

Depends ALOT on the tv.. what type of tv (model?) is it 720p vs 1080p makes a pretty big difference.

Also check out monoprice.com for cables. You can get a good cable for less money from there (much less for some cables). My FIL needed a HDMI to DVI for his blue ray.. $30 locally.. Only $11 including shipping from monoprice.
