This past week my computer died graveyard dead and I had to get a new one.[xx(] I have been reinstalling everything that I can and have run into a small problem that I don't know how to fix so I thought I'd ask some of our knowledgeable people for help. I had Ed Browns Cat-a-log saved on Yahoo.com, when I try to open it,its in PDF,excel tries to open it and all I get is symbols, letters, and numbers that mean nothing to me. How can I get this to open in another program that will show the Cat-a-log?

Do you have the Adobe viewer installed? When you install that, it will associate itself with PDF file types. If you're trying to open it in a browser window, then the Adobe helper for your browser is either missing or broken.

Jeff is correct. Go to www.adobe.com and on the left hand side you will see "Get Adobe Reader" and "Get Flash Player" Do the adobe first then once done go back and get the flash player. Both are a must in todays web sites.
