My wife wanted a compact mirror so I ordered a couple of kits. After getting some tips on casting, I decided to try to cast a photo of my daughters and put it on the kit. I cut a round piece of roofing tin, printed my picture on a mailing label (thanks Don), stuck it to the tin, cast the disk, and turned it on a drill chuck mandrel. Its not perfect and there are some things that I would do differently, but it was a huge hit with the wife.
