Visited the Columbus Pen Show on Saturday, 11-8, and saw way too many pens. A $5 entry fee was less than I thought it would be and a free Pen World magazine was a nice touch.
The show was very nice. Stan Cook (mrcook4570) had some beautiful pens with the best finish I have ever seen - CA and some very nice engraving work which he does himself. I got to meet Brian Gisi, one of my heroes in pen making, and got to see and handle some of his impressive works of art, we talked for several minutes. His pens feature very intricate segmenting work and beautiful metal casting. Bruce Mindrup demonstrated plating pen parts with 24k gold - it was very interesting.
All-in-all five bucks well spent and lots of new ideas generated.
