Visited the Columbus Pen Show on Saturday, 11-8, and saw way too many pens. A $5 entry fee was less than I thought it would be and a free Pen World magazine was a nice touch.

The show was very nice. Stan Cook (mrcook4570) had some beautiful pens with the best finish I have ever seen - CA and some very nice engraving work which he does himself. I got to meet Brian Gisi, one of my heroes in pen making, and got to see and handle some of his impressive works of art, we talked for several minutes. His pens feature very intricate segmenting work and beautiful metal casting. Bruce Mindrup demonstrated plating pen parts with 24k gold - it was very interesting.

All-in-all five bucks well spent and lots of new ideas generated.

Glad you were able to visit, Chris. So, how many pens followed you home and what were they?

John - There are pen shows in Philly and New York.

I will have to watch for the Newark show and the New york show again next year. The philly show is quite far but may want to give that a try. I will see Barry Gross at the somerset show in Feb.
