Katherine Kowalski and I found each other on Etsy. She makes the most amazing crochet hooks. We discussed a collaboration and these are what we created, they were on display at Harford. This is what they looked like when I received them in the mail.

This is what I did to them:biggrin:

John~Katherine makes them as well. She sent me one, I have not had a chance to put polymer clay on it. I had a lot of fun making them. 3 of the 6 are sold.

Thanks Phillip there are a few more projects with other turners that I will be collaborating with. One of the turners is Alby Hall in Kaitaia, New Zealand. He is at the very top of the North Island and I am in the South Island. He is an incredible wood turner, mind blowing if you havent seen his work do a goggle search worth a look..

I saw them at the Hartford Symposium, and met Katherine chatting with Mary Lacer as I was leaving. The looked great in person.

Great looking Toni. I met Katherine at the Utah Woodturning Symposium and her turning is really beautiful. She makes some really cool turnings as well as her crochet hooks and other needlework pieces.

Cindy~you are so lucky!! We talk on the phone every so often and she is a blast!! She will be sending me another package full of stuff she wants me to work on. I have no idea what she is sending me:eek:

The polymer clay did brighten up the crochet hooks, I love the before and after photos.

Rich and famous I dont think so:bulgy-eyes:

Expanding my horizons.....I have done metal crochet hooks, lace boobins, eggs, vases, candle holders, silverware, jewelry, the list is long but PENS are my favorite by far!!

Too bad I don't crochet, but then again, they may be too nice to use. I love collaborations and these are simply beautiful!
