It's most likely an obvious answer, but after soaking coffee beans in a thin plexitone mix to stabilize, take the beans out and let them drain, then spread out to dry. What material do you spread them out on to dry that will allow excess material to drain away from the bean, but not cure back onto the bean. Paper towel drains them, but sticks to the beans when drying. Wax paper doesn't stick, but doesn't allow the excess to drain away completely, leaving some beans with lumps. So, how do you dry them?

John,

I put mine on wax paper. Then after they dry, I rub them together in between my hands to get rid of any excess on the surface. It comes off pretty easily. I then do that same rubbing before I cast them to make sure anything that came back out is removed also.

That's how I do mine and it seems to work fine.

I use wax paper as well. I didn't notice any dried lumps on mine. I did spread them out on the paper which may be why I didn't have lumps. Worked for me.

I'll try it. I hadn't thought about just rubbing them by hand. Thanks!
