I haven't needed to order any micas for a few weeks and went to the site today and WOW. They totally redesigned it. Micas are now located under the Make Your Own tab and the micas themselves have been organized a bit different too. Either I've been away too long or this is a recent thing. Either way I like it!

Oh! And it also looks like they took NEW pictures of each mica bc they all look more like they do in real life now. Gives a much better feel for what you're gonna get now. Take the cellini Red for example, old picture looked red, new picture looks hot pink/magenta like it really is!

Has Changed

i just got an order from them about 5 days ago. i believbe the sight has changed since i ordered mine. i just quickly went to the sight and dont remember it looking like that.

OK, I just went to the site mentioned and.........they sell make up! How does that relate to pen making, or am I missing out on a unique aspect of the craft?

They must have updated their order processing and shipping as well. I ordered some stuff Monday. Had it in my hands before noon today (with standard shipping).

Weeelllllll if you go to there mica page at the top it says :Mica powder can be used for Lipstick, Foundation, Rouge, Fiber Paint, Faux Paint, Coloring Candles, Coloring Soaps, Coloring Paint & Resin. Stampers use this in embossing card-stock and other heat set designs, add some mica powder to your clear, black or white embossing powders to create your own unique heat set colors. Glass Artists use this in fusing techniques and much more.

So as you can see mica powder wasnt designed with the pen catser in mind. Just so happens that it works well for tinting resins as well.

LOL...thanks for that Bill :bulgy-eyes:

It's also a double-edged sword. You can use it to your advantage by showing your wife the site and yall can both order mica....BUT your wife can also order MORE than you! (just gotta sneak it away when they're not around)

Lucky for me my wife doesn't use or need makeup
