Ok, I'm new here and tried to search for this situation, but couldn't find it. I cast my own PR blanks and I have noticed that on some of the pens I make, the clip starts to sink into the resin, where it touches the barrel. I am assuming that the problem is not fully cured resin, but these blanks were almost a month old by the time I turned them. My shop is in my garage, so it has been cold, but I though by now it would have cured fully. Am I right in assuming that the resin isn't cured and how long can it take to fully cure at lower temps (40F-50F)? As far as I know my resin and MEKP are not that old and I usually use 8-10 drops per ounce.

Thanks
Dan

This is more prevalent in "Wasp" type configurations! I myself have never experienced a problem like this! Are your finished pens a bit on the plump side?

So there is nothing I can do about it Chris? It is happening on a few different blanks, even straight barrel pens. Also, I've noticed that the texture, from my pen portfolios, is leaving a faint pattern in the back side of the pens.

I've noticed some of my pens have done the same thing. The only time I've seen it was when the clip turned so I put it back in the same spot when I glued and pressed the clip back in.I have never seen anything from the pens just sitting around.
