Howdy ..
Clueless yelled at me for dropping off the face of the earth.
Actually I went on a quest for the Holy Grail and got lost in stop and shop.
For those of you that will admit to knowing me I wish you all happy holidays and good fortune in the up coming year.
For those that don’t know me, think of me as that guy that shows up at family get togethers.
When you ask your folks who is that they say, I don’t know some relative on the wrong side of the family I guess…….
I wish you well also.
I must say the house here still looks good, the first thing I noticed was that Lou finally figured out what to call the pen parts…..not bad after 50 years of making them.
Nothing new on my end, everything mostly is fine.
I know your saying shut up and get to the point what have you been up to. Ok i started to look into engraving my pens and ended up
Sandblasting….
Or I should say sand carving. Yes the same principle as when they sand blast a building, only on a smaller scale.
Im not ready to give you a report on how this can apply to pen making yet, I will as soon as I do some testing. Its taking me this long to figure out how to do get the basics down.
Im not sure its worth the money and learning to just engrave a name on a pen.
However if you wanted to engrave designs on pen bases, flat work etc it might just be that thing that makes you different from your competitors or it might just be a whole lot of fun as I found out.
Here’s a few things of what im talking about. My site blew up as I was fixing it so Im in the process of rebuilding but take a look any way. AND I promise I will post the results of testing…….
Take care……………pete
