I want to clear cast using a resin saver mold. I am going to use alumilite under 70 psi. My question is what do i need to do with the air trap inside the tube when i put the plugs in. My first attempt ended up with air voids, not bubbles on the end of the blanks and a tube half full of resin.

That's a lot of pressure. I'd bet good money on a failure.
Question .. what is the reason for using high pressure on a clear cast?
This amount of pressure will force resin into the tubes. And unless you
can maintain a PERFECT seal on the pressure pot, any drop in pressure
will cause the air in the tube to re-expand. It only has one place to go..
and that's out of the tube.

If this is a real ResinSaver, it isn't recommended that they be used
over about 20psi, and many people have gotten away from casting
with pressre altogether.

thanks, after i posted my question i did a search and found my answer. Newbie learning curve went up quick. I was wondering what temperature you warm your resin to. Is the resin alumilite or PR.
