Great job on the bowl, I really like the black walnut but I have never had the chance to turn any of it. Is that future bowls in the back ground of the second picture? They are sure nice looking logs. Aloha.

Thank you. That is actually Claro Walnut. The logs behind me is Black Walnut and was given to me, but they are too small to turn. That has become firewood for people in the church. When I get some time, I'll cut it up for them and deliver them a stash of firewood for the coming season.

I've got a friend who has a huge Black Walnut that fell on his property but it is hard to get at. We are going to work on it in the fall. If it works out, I'll send you some of it so you can turn, Black Walnut. You'll have to remind me when you see me posting it.
