A churchill pen kit, but what to make of it? Segmented ofcourse, that is my middle name, so i looked around in the shop for wood pieces, some oak, padouk, cherry, wenge, beech, yew, hmmm. Then my eyes fell on the red hole saws, 22 mm, 29, 35, 45, 65. Made a oak dowel 22 mm in diameter, the took a padouk blank and cut the same half round on each end. took the 29 mm and took some pieces of the padouk, about 8 mm or so, then wenge, 29 mm rounded and 35 mm saw took 8 mm off, the 45 mm saw in the drill chuck and the oak blank again, padouk for the endpieces.

That got me a blank long enough. Here's the result.
