Found this at a local 'close out' store-- not Big lots, but sorta a Junkie Industrial Big Lots LOL Anyway, how many times do you find a chopping block with spalted wood?? Bought two, but the other isn't near as neat as this one. Question: Should we cut it on the diagonal?

Interesting.

I bet you will see more "wood" chopping/cutting boards being dumped soon. I think I heard something about resturants not being able to use the wood ones anymore.
 
Looks like a good deal. Check out this ebay auction for what looks like a similar board, maybe a little darker than your picture, but going for a high price!

And tests prove over and over that bacteria die almost immediately on wood but can live for days on synthetics. Go figger.
