My oldest son is an Army officer serving in Saudi Arabia and is coming near to the end of his tour. He asked me to make some Churchill pens for him to give his coworkers to show his appreciating for their hard work and friendship. Here are the 14 I will mail to him soon. Wood is Blackjack Oak from SW of Ft Worth TX. Love turning this stuff. It's hard, with great grain and color.

That is a handsome group of pens there. I'm sure that they will be appreciated!

Superb set! I always loved turning the Oak varieties - the open grain was a nice element that looked appealing to me. Well done. đź‘Ź đź‘Ź đź‘Ź

Very nice group of pens there! Your sons coworkers will really appreciate those gifts!

Thanks folks, I appreciate the kind words. In June he will have been there for 3 years. He made a lot of friends among the US military guys who worked for him and the Saudi guys he worked with. Really proud of him.
